Honoring history and highlighting sustainability with a sweeping culinary brand identity.

Sixhundred°

Sixhundred° is a live fuel, wood-fired kitchen and dining experience located inside building 23-1 of the historic Baily Brothers Power Plant, formerly part of the RJR Tobacco manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. The menu is built from locally sourced fare with an emphasis on seasonability and sustainability. Elephant In The Room worked from the concept's origin to develop an identity and supporting brand story to help build a sense of place and elevate the dining experience.

The name "Sixhundredo" is derived from the tempature at which wood reaches combustability and burns. The concept draws forward the wood fired preperation and also differentiates itself as unique dining experience.

In working with executive chef Travis Myers, the one concept we keep coming back to was "authenticity" Authenticity in place, in food and ingredients, and in a sense of community.

Brand touchpoints emphasis the restaurant's history inside a historic setting while also welcoming new guest to the fireside and creating experiences that feel genuine.

In all executions we chose formats and finishes that wouldn't feel out of place in the building's past life but that were also unmistakably contemporary and signed growth by highlighting rather than obscuring the space's rehabilitation.
